I continually develop and enhance my skills through exhibitions, trade events, networking events and attending conferences, courses and seminars. I am currently seeking my next opportunity due to redundancy.

In the early part of my career I spent seven years working with Chris Tarrant, the presenter of “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” at his management company (that’s a novel in itself) and I saw Chris’s career go from strength to strength when the series became a huge success, not just here in the UK (it was regularly beating EastEnders in the ratings at one point and was the must-see quiz show of the late 1990’s) but globally too.

During this time I was involved in the launch of the Worcester Three Choirs Festival Fringe which first took place in 1999, and was the precursor to the now popular Worcester Festival where I live. It was this that sparked off my passion for festivals and live events.

Once I got the “bug” for festivals and events I was Chairman of the Worcester Music Festival from 2007 to 2009, and saw it grow from an idea to a full-scale event across the city of Worcester, and I founded the Worcestershire Literary Festival in 2010. The first festival ran in 2011 and had over 100 events across the county of Worcestershire and it attracted high profile authors such as Sebastian Peake and Lucy Worlsley the BBC TV presenter, historian and author.

I also instigated the appointment of the Worcestershire Poet Laureate on an annual basis, but in In 2013 I left the reins of the festival behind to become a full-time mother to my son Frankie who was diagnosed with a severe cleft lip/palate and non-positional talipes before his birth.

My life hasn’t gone as I had hoped, there have been many twists and turns to it especially in the last 6 years and particularly since I lost my much loved and much wanted son Francesco “Frankie” Enrico Ventura when he was born sleeping on 29th November 2013. Despite being an empty-armed mother, that is, a woman who has given birth but who does not have any living children, I try to live life to the full despite its challenges, be positive and make the most of every single second, because it could all be taken away in the blink of an eye.
I have also been through several close bereavements since losing my Frankie, and I’ve experienced all kinds of grief from the loss of my much loved and much wanted son, to my father-in-law in horrific circumstances, to two close cousins (one was only 57 when he passed away leaving behind a wife, son and his parents – my Aunty and Uncle – who still alive today in their 80’s), to my beloved German Shepherd Curley to cancer at the age of 12 and to my beloved Aunty Maria who passed away as a result of dementia at the age of 83.

All this has given me first-hand experience of all kinds of grief and loss, but somehow – and goodness knows how – I survived it all. I now write extensively on how to cope with grief and loss, and have become an inspirational and motivational public speaker on a wide variety of topics and subjects. When time allows I also write extensively for my blogs Cyber Geek GirlFrankie’s Legacy and Life Body Soul Spiritwhich is my main hobby and something I love to do to relax and wind down.

It is hard to keep going and be positive at times but I am extremely passionate about my work at Corinium Global Intelligence. I have wonderful family and friends and I have my amazing German Shepherd/Husky cross dog called Poppy – so I feel incredibly blessed. I rescued Poppy from Danemere Animal Rescue Centre in July 2015 and she is my world and my reason for living. She has made me so happy that she is now known as “Poppy The Happiness Dog”, and is an “Ambassadog” for happiness. Her mission is to make everyone she meets or comes into contact with – online or offline – smile and be happy.
In my spare time aside from blogging I love writing poetry and short stories and I have read my work at numerous spoken word events in Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and London over the years.

I have started to dabble in Reiki through Peaceful Harmony which I have found very helpful indeed, and I have a huge interest in self improvement, goal setting, mindfulness and anything to do with Mind, Body and Spirit – hence launching my “Life Body Soul Spirit” blog.

I also love films, gadgets, technology, cooking, baking (blame my discovery of The Great British Bake Off!) and heavy metal/rock music.
