In-Person Event: Infosecurity Europe – 5 and 6 June 2024

On 5 and 6 June 2024 I will be at Infosecurity Europe at ExCeL in London.

Cybersecurity threats are in the limelight like never before. That’s why we’re dedicated to bringing together the community – not simply the tech. Joining up people with the ideas, skills and resilience to protect our shared future.

By working in unison, we can keep our world safe and help unlock the true potential technology promises.

Infosecurity Europe is one of the leading gatherings of the information security industry in Europe. Each year, we bring the community together to share innovation, learn from each other, test and benchmark solutions, build relationships, drive new business and connect with colleagues.

The leading suppliers choose Infosecurity Europe as an opportunity to launch new technologies, products and services. It’s a vital resource for senior buyers to make key investment and information assurance decisions, and stakeholders at all levels come for the insight necessary to stay ahead in cybersecurity’s rapidly evolving landscape.

In-Person Event: National Cyber Security Show – 30 April and 1 May 2024

In-Person Event: National Cyber Security Show – 30 April and 1 May 2024

On Tuesday 30 April and Wednesday 1 May I’ll be attending the National Cyber Security Show at the NEC in Birmingham.

In a digital age where one small business in the UK falls victim to cyberattacks every 19 seconds (source: Hiscox), safeguarding your business against cyber threats has never been more critical. The National Cyber Security Show is your gateway to a deeper understanding of the current and impending cyber threats. This event at the NEC in Birmingham will be where attendees discover and acquire cutting-edge products and software solutions that will fortify businesses against cyber risks, and have a chance to connect with industry-leading experts, learning directly from their invaluable insights.

On Wednesday 1 May 2024 I will be hosting #InfosecLunchHourLive at a nearby venue (to be announced), so if you would like to attend drop me a message and let me know so I can add you to the guest list.

To book a time to meet with me there please email me via enquiries@lisaventura.co.uk.

In-Person Event: Cyber OSPAs – 23 April 2024 in Central London

In-Person Event: Cyber OSPAs – 23 April 2024 in Central London

On the night of Tuesday 23 April 2024 I’ll be attending the Cyber OSPA awards, which I am honoured to be a judge for.

The overall aim of the Cyber OSPAs is to recognise and highlight outstanding performance by companies, people, products and initiatives across the cyber security sector globally. However, there is an important additional feature of the Cyber OSPAs in that they have been designed to be ethical, and based on values of being independent, credible, transparent and respectable. For example, the organisers do not appoint the judges, they are nominated by our supporting associations; all the judges agree to mark to an ethics policy; the judges mark independently against published criteria; and they have an ethical sponsorship policy.

To book a time to meet with me there please email me via enquiries@lisaventura.co.uk.

More information about the Cyber OSPAs can be found here.

In-Person Event: UK Cyber Week – 17 and 18 April 2024, London Olympia

In-Person Event: UK Cyber Week – 17 and 18 April 2024, London Olympia

On Wednesday 17 April and Thursday 18 April 2024 I’ll be attending UK Cyber Week at Olympia in London and Cyber House Party on the evening of 17 April 2024.

Having missed out on some key events in February due to my husband being ill and therefore I was needed at home, I’m very much looking forward to this event and others in April and early May.

UK Cyber Week believes that to close the knowledge gap between cyber experts and UK business leaders, we must work together. Policymakers, IT departments, cyber professionals, law enforcement, software developers, educators, and the media all play a critical role in safeguarding against cyber threats. Their event is completely FREE to attend and brings together world-class experts to demystify jargon, share the latest thinking, and equip attendees with the knowledge they need to protect their businesses.

Whether you’re a cybersecurity veteran or new in the industry, the organisers say you will leave the event feeling empowered and ready to take action against cyber threats.

To book a time to meet with me there please email me via enquiries@lisaventura.co.uk.

Virtual Event/Webinar: Utilising Gender Pay Gap Reports – 31 May 2023

Virtual Event/Webinar: Utilising Gender Pay Gap Reports – 31 May 2023

Date: Wednesday 31 May 2023
Time: 11.00am
Virtual Talk: Register Here

In 2017, UK organisations with over 250 employees were required by law to publish information around their gender pay gap. The gender pay gap is an equality measure which calculates the difference in hourly earnings between women and men, closing the UK’s gender pay gap has been a consistent struggle for several years with minimal progression. The COVID-19 pandemic had a direct impact on the progression of equal gender pay, as the gap widened from 14.9% in 2020 to 15.4% in 2021. Pay gaps are direct indicators of systematic diversity and inclusion problems within the business and help shine a light on areas in need of improvement.

During this webinar, I will delve into gender pay gap reporting and discuss how organisations can utilize their reports to close the gap to create equal pay for every employee.
